Advisory Groups

Collaboration that changes lives
At Martin Youth Foundation, we play an important role in funding the delivery of alcohol and drug treatment programs that help young people to thrive. But we don’t work alone. Instead, we’re part of a community of experts that works together to enhance the youth recovery journey.
Leading with experience
Within the Foundation, our work is guided by two advisory groups comprised of professionals and young people.
Their expertise helps us understand the bigger picture of alcohol and other drugs so we can invest in what matters.

Clinical Advisory Group
Clinical expertise is vital to successful recovery from alcohol and drug dependence. Our Clinical Advisory Group includes psychiatry, psychology, addiction medicine, general practice and social work professionals who have deep experience supporting young people in crisis. Their input keeps us up to date with research, clinical practice and policy developments.

Youth Advisory Group
Young people are the experts in their own lives, which is why their perspectives and experiences are central to our work. Our Youth Advisory Group is a diverse and passionate group of people committed to supporting youth in crisis. Their insights help us stay connected to what young people need to thrive.
“I could have easily fallen through the gaps. For me, it’s important that I go on to acknowledge that and create some change within [the] field.”
—Taeg, Youth Advisory Group member
